Abstract submission guidelines and submission system is open now.


BEFORE you submit, please go through the following guidelines :

Last date for submission of abstracts to all categories is strictly 30th September 2017. No further requests will be entertained.
Registration to ISACON 2017 conference is a mandatory prerequisite for submission of abstracts in all categories.

The E Poster Presentation


Max. Allowed word count: 250 words

The abstract shall contain the following headings:
Title
Introduction
Methods
Results: One (ONLY ONE) most relevant TABLE/ IMAGE / GRAPH / ILLUSTATION MUST
Conclusion
References (Two, most relevant)

What should be included in the Abstract / Poster
Title : To be complete, relevant, including relevant statistical terminology
Introduction : To contain Background and Aims
Methods : To mention ethical committee permission, patient consent, duration of study, inclusion-exclusion criteria, sample size calculation based on power of study, randomization technique, statistical tests used including p values, tests of comparison and version of software used, Primary and secondary study criteria clearly defined, definitions of grades, scoring systems, confounding variables and limitations, if any, rescue techniques /drugs.
Results : To be informative.

Conclusion : To be brief and relevant
References : Two relevant references (ONLY TWO) to be added

The abstract shall contain the following headings:
Title

What should be included In the Abstract / Presentation

Key Words : 3-5 relevant MeSH keywords
Introduction : To contain Background and Aims
Methods : To mention ethical committee permission, patient consent, duration of study, inclusion-exclusion criteria, sample size calculation based on power of study, randomization technique, statistical tests used including p values, tests of comparison and version of software used, Primary and secondary study criteria clearly defined, definitions of grades, scoring systems, confounding variables and limitations, if any, rescue techniques / drugs.
Results : To begin with demographics, study criteria/ parameters (Primary and Secondary), adverse / side effects
Discussion : (IN THE FINAL PLATFORM PRESENTATION ONLY, NOT IN ABSTRACT) (should focus on aims, study parameters/criteria, related studies with correlations, complications/adverse / side effects and management, confounding variables and limitations, if any, future scope of study)
Conclusion : To be brief and relevant
References : Two relevant references (ONLY TWO) to be added



Case Report Guidelines


Max. Allowed word count : 150 words
The abstract shall contain the following, headings :
Title : Shall mention condition/management and convey what is special or unique in the report (the condition, management or outcome)
Key Words : 3-5 relevant MeSH keywords
Introduction : What is already known related to the case report and available evidence (literature)
Case Report : Brief summary of Presentation, Investigation, Preparation, Management and Outcome of the case (ONE MOST RELEVANT, IMAGE / GRAPH / ILLUSTATION / TABLE TO BE ADDED)
Conclusion : The take home message in terms of any part of case being reported such as the investigation, preparation, management and outcome
References : Two most relevant references
